A little about me: I have a full-time job, but post-COVID, things became difficult to manage financially due to inflation. This led me to join various groups and subreddits to explore ways to make money enough for my groceries and even fuel expenses (if I am lucky).
Rewarded Play was the app that was being talked about the most, so I decided to give it a try. I used the app for nearly two weeks, exploring every possible way to earn money through it.
So, I wrote an in-depth article covering every aspect of the app and whether there is a better option for making money on the side.
Let’s get the ball rolling.
What Is Rewarded Play? Is It Legit?
Rewarded Play is a free app for Android users that rewards them with gift cards for playing mobile games. To start earning, users simply need to download and play new games to collect points.
If you’re wondering whether it’s legit—the answer is yes. Rewarded Play does pay out in gift cards as promised. Adding to its credibility, the app has a 4.1-star rating with over 200,000 reviews on the Google Play Store. Rewarded Play is currently available in the United States and Canada.
Games You Can Play On Rewarded Play
When I found out that the app was legit and actually works, I downloaded it. Rewarded Play allowed me to earn gift cards by playing the following games:
- Bingo Blitz
- Match Masters
- Coin Master
- Match To Win
- Wheel of Fortune
- Mystery Society
- World Series Poker
- Bingo Cash
- Mahjong
- Word Alchemy
- Pirate Kings
- Lucky Match
- Cookie Jam Blast
- Sudoku
…and many more. Just play and earn money.
Steps to Start Earning with Rewarded Play
1. Install Reward Play and Sign Up
This is bad news if you are an iPhone user, as the app is only available on Android. Fortunately for me, I have an Android device, and I hope you do too. You can head over to the Google Play Store to download Rewarded Play.
Once downloaded, the app will prompt you to sign up and accept its Terms and Conditions. This agreement is necessary so the app can track your progress and provide rewards accordingly.
2. Download Games You Like
Once everything above is done, you will be redirected to a wide selection of games (like the ones mentioned above). If you don’t like games like Sudoku, you can play something fun and exciting like Cookie Jam Blast.
The app encourages you to play games and earn by showing how much will your gift card be worth which in most cases is $5.
To earn that gift card, I downloaded and played World Series Poker, Bingo Cash, and Mahjong. And I haven’t had such fun playing games and it didn’t hurt that I was earning gift cards.
Note: Unlike other apps, Rewarded Play doesn’t reward you based on the time that you spend on the game, but on your achievements. Rewarded Play gave me points once I surpassed Level 5 of Mahjong.
3. Keep Earning Points
The coins I earn are visible in the top right corner of the app. Another way that I earn on the app is by making in-app purchases. However, I have noticed the more levels I accomplish, the games tend to get a lot harder and the payout becomes less as you progress.
How Can I Redeem My Points From Rewarded Play
Once I have earned 45,000 points (which is the minimum requirement) I can redeem the points for any gift card that’s worth $5. I can redeem a gift card from any one of the following:
- Amazon
- Best Buy
- Target
- Walmart
- Gap
- Adidas
- Sephora
- Macy’s
My choice is Amazon gift cards as they are convenient and there’s an extensive list of items that I can buy from wall art to video games. Rewarded Play sends me the gift card within 48 hours after my selection. So the rewards are real, and I can assure you that you aren’t being scammed.
Bonus: If you recommend this app to your friend, you can earn a gift card worth $5 once your friend has earned theirs.
Think Twice Before Installing Rewarded Play
Rewarded Play comes with some drawbacks that potential users should know about. First, the amount of money or rewards you can earn is usually quite small when you consider the time spent. Many people find that the effort they put in doesn’t match the return they get.
Rewarded Play is only available to residents in the United States and Canada, which limits who can use it. On top of that, it only works on Android devices, so iOS users can’t take part…which is a shame.
When I first tried using Rewarded Play, I thought it would be a quick way to earn some extra gift cards. However, after spending hours playing games and watching ads, I realized it would take a very long time to get enough points for just one gift card. The effort felt much more than the reward, so I ended up using the app less and less.
Passive App: Share Internet and Earn Money Passively!
I started using Rewarded Play less and less, But I still needed to find a way to make money on the side to help me out with my groceries and fuel expenses. After much research, I found Passive App.
This app allows you to earn money simply by sharing your Internet. The app is available on iOS, Android, and Desktop so that users can earn anywhere not only in the USA and Canada (like Rewarded Play)
The best part is that you don’t require any investment, just your phone and a stable internet connection. Passive App runs in the background, and all you need to do is sit back and watch your earnings go up to $55 per month.
And before you ask if the app is legit, YES it’s 100% legit, and it is recognized for safe use by the following:
- Avast
- Kaspersky
- McAfee
- Microsoft Defender
Once I was satisfied with Passive App, I recommended the app to my friend and now get 10% of all their earnings (for the referral), now that’s what I call passive income.
Stop playing games, and make money, Passively!
